The GP Walk-in Centre at Accrington Victoria Community Hospital closed on 17 June 2018. This closure does NOT affect the Minor Injuries Unit, x-ray or any other in-patient or out-patient service delivered from Accrington Victoria Community Hospital.
GP services remain available 24/7 through the patient’s own GP practice as usual or by ringing 111 at weekends or after 6.30pm week days.
Patients can also get health advice from any local pharmacist for a minor health concern. They are trained experts in managing minor illnesses and using medicines safely. Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends with the majority of them providing a consultation room for private conversations
