Chaperone
If you feel you would like a chaperone at your consultation, please inform the Doctor, Nurse or Receptionist and we will be happy to arrange this.
A chaperone is a person that is present during an intimate or personal examination with a Clinician. A chaperone also acts as a safeguard for both parties ( patient and practitioner) and is a witness to continuing consent to the procedure. A Chaperone would usually be of the same sex as the patient concerned.
